The steaming cylinder is an instrument for testing the dimensional stability of textiles after steam fumigation without stress. It determines the fabric’s ability to withstand exposure to steam without shrinking, distorting, or changing in appearance. The tester simulates the conditions that fabric may undergo during steam ironing or other steam-related processes.
