The universal tensile testing machine is used to test the tensile, compression, bending, shearing, peeling and other properties of textiles, leather, paper, and other materials.
The Hydrostatic Head Tester is designed to measure the water resistance or waterproofness of fabric materials. It determines the ability of a fabric to withstand water pressure without allowing water to penetrate through it.
Working Principle
The tester applies water pressure to a fabric sample until water starts penetrating it. The measurement is given in millimeters of water column height, known as the hydrostatic head value. This value indicates the fabric’s ability to resist water penetration and is an important factor in determining its suitability for specific applications, such as raincoats, tents, or outdoor clothing.
